THE SYMBOLS IN IT ALL

 

 

 

It is exiting how we as humans use signs and how we fill our sourrundings with a symbolic meaning. How we try to understand or try to see something that is there, - or may be not. Without this meaning or explanation it is very difficult, - if not impossible – to say that what we do has any purpose or direction.

 

No wonder then, that one as a visual artist become interested in this. How the basic signs can be examined; which they are, how they are filled with some kind of meaning or common symbolic comprehending.

 

 

 

Ådne Løvstad (b. 1960) is a visuel artist living on a small farm near Lillehammer in Norway.

 

His art is connected to signs, symbolic actions, land art, site-specific projects in close relations to nature, - often in his own forrest: Aasethskogen.
